Gallipoli: The Scale of Our War
In collaboration with Weta Workshops this project involved creating emotive snapshots from diaries of New Zealanders who’s lives were torn by the WW1 Gallipoli campaign
An immersive exhibition artistically directed by New Zealand's renowned Weta Workshops. Inspired by diaries and letters, I created an hour long cinematic score and sound design written to open out the emotional worlds of real characters from the era.
Performed by the magnificent New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, the sound and music come together in a surrounding journey of interlocking pieces that visitors move through at their own pace.
The exhibition has exceeded visitor attraction records, with more than 2.7 million visitors in a country of only 4 million, and in 2017 the exhibition picked up prestigious global Themed Entertainment Association THEA award.
